A traditional, incredibly tasty and aromatic sweet treat that brings delight and sweetness in every spoonful. Ideal for indulgent moments as a dessert or topping for ice cream or yogurt.
Ingredients:
20 Citrus
1 kg sugar
1 tbsp glucose
800g water
After cleaning the outer peel (the orange part), we score the white part into 4-6 pieces. We roll them into small rolls and secure them with a toothpick. We boil them for 5 minutes in a saucepan to remove bitterness. Repeat this process three times. Once done, add sugar, glucose, water, and the rolled orange pieces to the saucepan and simmer for approximately 45 minutes until the syrup thickens. Take care to cut the slices between the membranes. Avoid stirring during boiling to maintain the texture of the fruit. Transfer the sweet into sterilized jars using the boiling method.
