Favorite flower cheese pies in many variations and for every occasion. A sweet loved by everyone and of course in all the homes of Crete in a special place.

A simple sweet, easy, quick plain or syrupy, with honey or with sugar and cinnamon, or with dust, no matter how you eat it, it remains unforgettable.

 

Our materials

1 pack of crusty leaves

1-2 egg whites

600 g of anthotyro

2-3 tbsp honey

1 tbsp cinnamon

 

For the syrup

3 cups of sugar

2 cups of water

1 cinnamon stick

Juice half a lemon with the lemon cup

1 tbsp of glucose

4-5 cloves

 

Directions

We mix all our ingredients. Cut the crust sheet into large squares.

Pour an amount of filling onto the sheet.

Wrap the filling once and fold the sheet from left to right. We continue to wrap and at the end we glue the sheet with egg white. (USE THESE PICTURES TOO BUT THE PICTURES FROM THE SPRING ROLLS ARE THE SAME STEPS)

(We can make enough and freeze them if we want. )

Arrange our patties on the tray in a row, butter them on top and bake them in the oven at 160 degrees for about 50 minutes until they are golden.

 

 

The key is to check that they are cooked from the bottom so they don't get muddy with the syrup.

We let them cool and we start making the syrup

Boil the syrup for 5-7 minutes and pour it over the patties. Let it absorb the syrup.

An alternative way is also very easy to have them ready frozen and we take as many pieces as we want. Fry them in hot oil and after they turn golden, take them out and dip them in a plate where we have mixed sugar with cinnamon! Wonderful hot scents at the moment you want and as many pieces as you want!!
